Description

What the course consists of

Fun! Our experienced and accredited trainers will teach you the ins & outs of boating safety via our boat licence & PWC licence session. A short break will be provided mid-course.

Once you’ve passed the exam, you will receive a signed and stamped licence qualification from our trainers. Take this to Service NSW (the motor reg) with your completed logbook for the immediate issuing of your licence. This can be done anytime within 12 months from the course.

Once you pass with us, you will not have to do any further testing at Service NSW

The NSW boat & PWC licences

The NSW general boat licence permits people aged 12 years and over to operate a boat for recreational purposes on NSW waters, at a speed of 10 knots (18.5 Kilometres per hour) or more.

The PWC licence allows you to operate a Personal Watercraft at any speed. It is an upgrade on the NSW boat licence and can be completed at the same course.

Neither licence can be used for the operation of a commercial vessel or for commercial purposes.

Who delivers the course?

Training is delivered by Boating Licence Course’s own qualified, experienced and vetted training team.
